Episode 64: How to Juggle Work, Motherhood & Self-Care this Summer – with Serina Hwang

How Do We Juggle Work, Motherhood & Self-Care During the Summer Holidays?

This is the question on every working mom’s mind!

Even more so, for those of us living an international lifestyle and far away from our families. My guest, Serina Hwang, does too: she is a successful entrepreneur and busy mom of 3 – and she has a lot of tips and tricks to share about this dilemma!

About Serina

Serina Hwang is the founder and CEO of Kindigo, a Seoul-based company that creates educational content for young learners of English. She believes that language learning should be fun and engaging. When the learning process is enjoyable in a child’s younger years, this sets the tone for the child’s relationship with English for the rest of their lives. Kindigo produces children’s digital content for television loved by both parents and kids.

Serina was born and raised in Canada and is currently living in Seoul, Korea with her husband and three children.

In our interview she shares:

  • her organizing hacks to get things done
  • how to set realistic expectations
  • how to squeeze in self-care
  • what we can learn from Korean moms

and more!

Episode 63: Becoming Your Own Biggest Ally To Handle Any Challenge

Episode 63: Becoming Your Own Biggest Ally To Handle Any Challenge

In this episode I’ll share 4 practical tips that will help you improve the relationship with yourself and truly become your own biggest ally.

I firmly believe that when you got yourself in your corner, when you are ably to fully trust in yourself: you are in the position to handle any challenge.

If this is something you’d like to experience for yourself, then my signature program RECLAIM YOUR POWER is for you.

I feel like my entire personal and professional life has led me directly to creating this unique and transformative Coaching Program, that will change the course of the life of those who go through it.

But let me share the story of how this Coaching Program was born:

The Story of RECLAIM YOUR POWER

I recently took part in the “Launch & Go Global Challenge” organized by the inspiring Mirela Sula, together with approx. 500 participating female entrepreneurs.

But I almost didn’t make it, as my help was sick that day and the kids already home from school.

For a minute I thought I couldn’t participate, but quickly realized:

“There it is again: that limiting belief that being a committed mom AND successful entrepreneur is DIFFICULT.”

And as I’ve come to learn (after much inner work!) it is just that: a belief – that we can subscribe to or not.

So I got creative (a special survival skill of moms!) and managed to show up.

As part of the Challenge, the 500-ish participating entrepreneurs were asked to record a video, stating

  • what we offer
  • to whom and
  • why our service / product is so important

I outlined my message while fixing the kids’ dinner, put “Encanto” on and snuck out to record it in two takes (you could even hear some cries in the background!) There simply was no time for rehearsing or perfectionizing.

Against these odds, my passionate presentation was selected winner – thanks to which I will be featured on the Cover of Global Woman Magazine!

I’m so grateful to Mirela Sula for seeing my potential and believing in my offer. AND for shining the spotlight on me the way she did. That’s exactly the feeling I want to transmit to my clients:

I see your potential. I believe in you. I hold space for everything that is possible for you, even if you can’t see it just yet. So that you can shine.

Yes, YOU 😉
