About Melissa

 

Melissa Parks is a coach and former psychotherapist with her PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology. Her professional career has included several different chapters and has allowed her opportunities to work in the field of mental and behavioral health in the United States, Spain, and the Netherlands.

She’s been working with the globally mobile community for the past 7 years, and currently provides mindset coaching for entrepreneurs who need help getting out of their own way on the path to being successful business owners.

She’s also a teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion program and co-founder of the Location Independent Therapists Community. Her most recent professional project has been writing her memoir about her time abroad and how it helped her on her own journey towards greater self-compassion.

After 10 years abroad, she repatriated to the United States in 2019 and currently lives in Seattle with her husband, who has dual Spanish-Venezuelan citizenship, their 15-month-old son, and their dog – Pintxo.
