And now:
Let’s set intentions for the holidays!
Are you able to go home for the winter holidays? Or will you have family and friends over?
The holidays are a season of joy, laughter, family and festivities…. or so we wish! They’re also a season of high expectations that can lead to disappointments; of potential conflict with loved ones and feeling the pressure to live up to other people’s standards. This holds true especially for us expats, who go long periods of time without seeing our extended families.
So what can be done to avoid disappointment? After all, if expat life and the pandemic have taught us anything, it’s that social contact, friendships and family are most important!
By setting intentions, we can make sure to be prepared for any scenario we may encounter AND we can create the best conditions for things to turn out as holly jolly as we hope for them to be.
In this episode
I’ll introduce 4 Intentions that you can set, in order to:
- stop worrying about what others may think of you, your lifestyle and your choices
- contribute to that bright, holiday spirit
- handle polarization, differences and conflict
- accept others for who they are and will likely continue to be
